Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will evaluate and treat children with speech and language delays or disorders, utilizing your expertise in pediatrics and physiology. Your primary focus will be to develop individualized therapy plans that support early intervention and foster communication skills in young clients. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs in pediatric clients
- Develop and implement tailored therapy plans based on evidence-based practices and family goals
- Provide direct speech therapy services in various settings including homes, schools, or our clinic’s sensory gym
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care strategies
- Monitor progress regularly and adjust treatment plans to maximize outcomes
- Educate families on strategies to support communication development at home and in daily activities
- Maintain detailed documentation of sessions, assessments, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards
Skills
- Proven experience working with pediatric populations in school or clinical settings
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques specific to early intervention and pediatrics
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments using medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
- Familiarity with physiology relevant to speech production and swallowing functions
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward children and families
- Knowledge of early intervention protocols and developmental milestones
