What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist (PT) - Part-Time or Full-Time position at Therapy Source?
As part of our mission to pave the way for children's success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking a full-time or part-time Physical Therapists to provide in-person services for charter school students.
Position 1
- Full-Time or Part-Time (15-37.5 hours per week)
- Flexible Scheduling
- Remainder of the current school year
Position 2
- Part-Time (4 hours per month 36 hours of comp time needed)
- Caseload: 1 student
- Flexible Scheduling
- School-based experience required
- Remainder of the current school year, possibly ESY, and the next school year (Start date is ASAP)
Physical Therapist Qualifications:
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist in DC
- School Certification in DC
- Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
- Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Physical Therapist Responsibilities May Include:
- Evaluating students to determine eligibility and need for physical therapy services
- Enhancing students' academic abilities by using a variety of techniques and/or therapeutic intervention strategies
- Providing appropriate therapeutic services
- Preparing Evaluation Reports
- Developing and implementing IEPs and 504 Plans
- Performing all related work, documentation, and reporting as required
- Attending a school team or IEP meetings as necessary
