What You’ll Be Doing*:
- Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and management of chronic health conditions.
- Monitor student health and maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and emergency care plans.
- Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings when needed, contributing medical and health-related insights.
- Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community.
- Ensure compliance with state-mandated screenings and immunization requirements.
- Respond to health emergencies and implement appropriate interventions.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and FERPA regulations.
- More specific job roles will vary based on state and district requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where services will be provided.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- School Nurse Services Credential (where required).
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- W2 employment with weekly pay
- Option for 12-month salaried pay if starting at the beginning of the school year
- (Clinicians starting later in the year may receive prorated salary or hourly pay)
