Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assess, develop, and implement personalized treatment plans to enhance the functional independence and quality of life for individuals across diverse settings. Your expertise will support patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, including those with neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, or recovering from injury or illness. Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving daily living activities (ADLs), motor skills, and overall functional abilities.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient transitions across care settings.
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation accurately, including clinical notes, progress reports, and treatment plans.
  • Provide specialized therapy for pediatric populations, including early intervention services and support for children with autism spectrum disorders.
  • Engage in case management activities to monitor patient progress and adjust care strategies accordingly.
  • Educate patients and families about therapy goals, progress, and home programs to reinforce therapeutic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with speech therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, educators, and other professionals in interprofessional teams to optimize patient care.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program; licensure or certification as required by local regulations.
  • Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities across various settings such as inpatient hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, schools, or home health environments.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical documentation standards.
  • Experience working with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder and supporting clients with disabilities in diverse contexts.
  • Skilled in developing treatment plans based on evidence-based practices tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Familiarity with occupational therapy assessments and implementing occupational therapy programs effectively.
  • Excellent client communication skills combined with the ability to collaborate within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work with pediatric populations including early intervention services and students with special education needs.
  • Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) management for accurate documentation and reporting purposes.
  • Acute care experience including ICU or inpatient settings is preferred; experience in post-acute care or skilled nursing facilities is a plus.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth through ongoing education related to occupational therapy techniques and innovations.

Pay: $57.50 - $67.50 per hour
