Staring hourly: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour depending on Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Receptionist experience

Northwest Rehabilitation & Associates, a member of Therapy Partners Group, has been the premier provider for outpatient orthopedics serving Salem and surrounding communities for over 15 years. We are known for providing the highest quality individualized care for our patients and our team of highly skilled physical therapists who are passionate about helping patients achieve their goals. 

Currently, we are looking for a full time Patient Care Coordinator (Medical Receptionist) for our Dallas location.

Schedule needed: 30 hours per week within the schedule of Monday - Friday 7:15am - 3:45pm

Essential Position Duties

  • Greeting warmly and maintain a friendly, welcoming relationship with all patient care coordinators, and any external connections.
  • Clearly communicates with all staff, including clinical and corporate employees, in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Responsible for answering phones and greeting patients with the utmost professionalism and care.
  • Works closely with Billing Department, Physical Therapists and Aide staff to assure smooth patient flow
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
  • Participates in and adheres to, as required, the HIPAA Policies and Procedures of Therapy Partner Group
  • Reviews Copay collection reports and helps identify accounts that may need to be reviewed
  • Audits Journeys/Dashboard to ensure they are being worked on in a timely manner    
  • Audits Payer Direct Portal to ensure notes are being uploaded/AUTH’s pulled
  • Checks FOC Chats to ensure messages are being responded to and worked on
  • Chart audit day/s in advance to ensure we have charts with documents and AUTH’s as required

Minimum Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office; Raintree PMS experience is a Plus
  • Possess strong customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential documents
  • Must be organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to communicate complex information in a well thought-out, easily understood manner, both orally and in writing in a variety of settings and styles
  • Ability to communicate in an honest, direct, and professional manner, relating well to others to build rapport and effective relationships.
  • An ability to demonstrate active listening by asking clarifying questions, identify and share relevant information and solicit feedback from others, and give and receive feedback objectively.
  • Must be able to identify and problem solve
  • Possess dedicated team player attributes
  • Ability to multi-task responsibilities while maintaining a positive and friendly atmosphere with the patients nearby

Education And Experience

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: Data Entry, System Dashboard and or Worklist Completion Projects a plus. At minimum, 1 year(s) of consistent experience in a front desk role & thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required. Medical/Healthcare front office experience is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

Requires prolonged sitting, some walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, mouse, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other equipment. Requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and present reports.
