The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) for a permanent full-time role in Carmichael, CA. This position is perfect for a therapy professional who excels in leadership, enjoys mentoring teams, and is passionate about maintaining high-quality patient outcomes in a skilled nursing and rehab environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the rehab department
- Manage staff scheduling, caseload assignments, and productivity expectations
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
- Provide clinical support with evaluations, treatment planning, and professional development
- Promote effective communication across therapy, nursing, and administration
- Monitor documentation accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Foster a positive, supportive, and patient-centered culture
- Participate in staff hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations
Qualifications
- Licensed PT/OT/SLP or Assistant (PTA/COTA) in California
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a rehab setting preferred
- Strong understanding of therapy workflows, documentation standards, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
