The Role
We are seeking a dedicated X-Ray Technologist (Radiologic Technologist) for a contract in an Acute Care Hospital in Orange, CA. In this vital role, you’ll perform diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with acute illnesses and injuries, ensuring patient safety and image quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures with precision and efficiency as ordered by physicians.
- Position patients correctly and utilize appropriate exposure factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Monitor and document patient information, procedure details, and technical factors accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with emergency department staff, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety protocols.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards (ALARA) for patients, staff, and self.
Qualifications
- Active - California Radiologic Technologist (RT) license.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Prior acute care or trauma experience preferred.
