The Role
We are seeking an experienced RN House Supervisor for a full-time Night Shift permanent position in Kane, PA. This critical leadership role oversees hospital-wide operations during off-hours, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient staffing support across all units.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee facility operations and clinical workflow during night shift hours.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff across all units.
- Serve as the primary administrative representative during overnight hours.
- Respond to emergent patient care needs, staffing requests, and operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, standards of care, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Escalate critical issues to appropriate leadership when needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of shift activities, incidents, and staffing adjustments.
- Foster a positive, collaborative environment that promotes staff satisfaction and patient-centered care.
Physical Demands
House Supervisors may be required to:
- Stand/walk for extended periods across multiple hospital departments.
- Assist with patient care during high-acuity situations when needed.
- Lift or move equipment up to 20–40 lbs.
- React quickly in fast-paced or emergency conditions.
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania RN license – Required.
- Minimum 2–3 years of acute care RN experience – Required.
- Prior charge nurse or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities during overnight operations.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams effectively in a hospital setting.
