The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Charge Registered Nurse to lead and support the Med Surg team in a well-respected acute care facility in Claremont, NH. This permanent role is ideal for a strong RN leader who excels in critical thinking, communication, and coordination within a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and clinical oversight to Med Surg staff during assigned shifts
- Deliver direct patient care and assist with higher-acuity clinical needs
- Coordinate patient flow, admissions, discharges, and care plans
- Serve as a resource, mentor, and support system for nursing team members
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to uphold high-quality patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active New Hampshire RN License (or compact state license)
- 2 years Med Surg experience required
- Previous Charge Nurse or leadership experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, delegation, and team communication skills
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and decisive in fast-paced situations
