We are currently expanding and seeking a Per Diem Licensed Occupational Therapist in the Lawrence, Massachusetts area to join our growing team.
Position Overview
As an integral member of our team, the Occupational Therapist will work closely with patients and their families to provide comprehensive Occupational Therapy services in the comfort of their homes. The OT will play a key role in assessing patients’ functional abilities, developing individualized treatment plans, and empowering patients to achieve their goals and maximize independence in daily activities.
Key Responsibilities
- · Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning.
- · Develop and implement individualized Occupational Therapy treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
- · Provide direct Occupational Therapy services in patients’ homes, including therapeutic activities and adaptive equipment training.
- · Monitor and document patient progress in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- · Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and home health aides to ensure coordinated patient care.
- · Educate patients and families on activities of daily living, safety precautions, and independence strategies.
- · Provide guidance on community resources, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology.
- · Adhere to all regulatory standards, ethical guidelines, HIPAA requirements, and infection control protocols.
- · Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain licensure requirements.
Qualifications
- · Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- · Current state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
- · CPR certification.
- · Prior experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in home care or geriatric settings.
- · Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills.
- · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- · Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
