Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary pediatric clinic team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of occupational therapy practices and demonstrate a passion for improving patient outcomes across diverse populations. In this role, you will evaluate, develop, and implement personalized treatment plans to enhance clients' functional independence, support recovery, and promote well-being.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments to determine clients' needs, strengths, and goals.
  • Develop individualized care plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and align with client objectives.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and feeding to promote independence.
  • Implement occupational therapy programs tailored for pediatric populations, including early intervention and school-based services.
  • Support discharge planning by coordinating care transitions and providing education to clients and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including speech therapists, physical therapists, and medical professionals—to optimize patient care.
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately, ensuring detailed clinical documentation and compliance with medical terminology standards.
  • Provide education on autism spectrum disorders support, neurodevelopmental disorders, and disabilities to clients, families, and educational staff.
  • Engage in case management activities to monitor progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and ensure quality care delivery.
  • Participate in clinical interprofessional collaboration to foster comprehensive treatment approaches across healthcare settings.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited occupational therapy program; master’s or doctoral degree preferred where applicable.
  • Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
  • Current NBCOT certification or eligibility/maintenance as required by applicable standards.
  • Proven experience working with individuals with children with disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical documentation standards.
  • Proficiency in implementing occupational therapy assessments and treatment plans for patients with neurodevelopmental disorders or post-acute care needs.
  • Familiarity with occupational health practices and physical rehabilitation occupational therapy techniques.
  • Excellent client communication skills combined with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage medical documentation efficiently using electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development in occupational therapy fields.
  • Feeding training and experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Supervisor position opportunities available with incentive pay.
