Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
We are seeking out a Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join Theraplay Pediatrics at our clinic in downtown Covington, LA.
We specialize in treating children requiring OT services in the areas of Developmental Delay, Fine Motor Skills, Gross Motor Skills, Visual Processing, Oral Motor/Oral Sensory, Sensory Processing, Social Interaction Skills, Learning Challenges, Play Skills.
This COTA will love playing and engaging with children and will also need to be able to communicate effectively with parents. A positive attitude and patience is key for this position.
Other requirements for this position are listed below:
- Provide therapeutic services targeted to meet the patient’s goals.
- Educate patients and families about the goals of treatment and how to achieve them.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the OT, as needed.
- Schedule patients based on your availability and the clinic capacity.
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in the state of Louisiana.
- COTA (LSBME) licensed.
- CPR certified.
- NBCOT certification preferred.
