Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse populations. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for patients across various age groups, including pediatrics and geriatrics
• Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans based on assessment results and patient needs
• Provide direct therapy sessions through in-person or telehealth platforms, utilizing evidence-based techniques for speech therapy and language therapy
• Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care strategies
• Educate patients and their families on communication strategies, exercises, and progress monitoring to support ongoing improvement
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems
• Stay current with advances in physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and best practices in speech-language pathology to enhance service quality

Skills

• Extensive experience working with children in pediatric populations, early intervention programs, or school settings
• Proven ability to develop and execute effective speech-language therapy plans tailored to individual needs
• Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and swallowing functions
• Skilled in conducting comprehensive assessments for speech impairments and language disorders
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or speech impairments across diverse settings
• Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and delivering remote services effectively
• Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams including educators, healthcare providers, and family members
• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology practice
• Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management
• Working knowledge of working with geriatric patients on swallowing disorders or communication challenges
• Commitment to patient care excellence with a positive attitude towards continuous learning

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
