What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist (OT) - School-Based position at Therapeutic Resource?
Job Overview
Work where you want, on a schedule that fits your life, for pay that reflects your experience!
We're hiring occupational therapists for the 2026-2027 school year, with openings right now across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens.
WHERE YOU'LL WORK
District 4, East Harlem (Manhattan).
One of Manhattan's most colorful and culture-rich neighborhoods. You're right by the top of Museum Mile and the northeast corner of Central Park, with easy access from nearly every subway line.
District 13, Brooklyn (Brooklyn Heights, Fort Greene, and Clinton Hill).
Some of Brooklyn's most beautiful tree-lined streets, historic brownstones, and a walkable mix of cafés, parks, and culture. Think the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, Fort Greene Park, BAM, and weekend farmers markets right where you work.
District 29, Queens (Rosedale, Saint Albans, Cambria Heights, and Queens Village). Some of the leafiest, calmest residential neighborhoods in the city, with tree-lined streets, classic homes, and parking you can actually find. Saint Albans even carries a storied jazz history, once home to legends like Count Basie and Ella Fitzgerald.
YOUR ROLE
- You'll support students with IEPs in their school setting, working with educators and families to help each one build the skills they need to participate, learn, and thrive. And you won't do it alone. Your placement coordinator and a clinical team have your back from day one.
A SCHEDULE THAT WORKS FOR YOU
- Full-time, part-time, per diem, or a very light caseload, we'll match you to the right school.
- Interviews and onboarding are fully virtual, so getting started is easy.
- And there's more, too. We have even more opportunities across all five boroughs.
- Westchester, Rockland, the Hudson Valley, and select areas of Long Island, so if these districts aren't the right fit, we'll find the one that is.
