General Job Responsibilities:
- Counseling services will be provided for college students and include issues related to school, work, and home stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, self-esteem, and other general psychotherapeutic issues. Additional counseling services will be made available, as needed, to support students who are in crisis due to a traumatic occurrence on campus.
- 911 emergency services or referrals will be made for students needing urgent crisis intervention. Referrals will be made for psychological evaluation/testing, and for accommodations due to disabilities.
- The services may involve traveling between sites. Services will be scheduled based on client needs.
- Services include the initial intake appointment, about 30 to 60 minutes, to determine if short term counseling services are appropriate. Those requiring more intensive services will be referred to an appropriate external provider. Each subsequent counseling session will be 50 minutes. The number of sessions will be based on the recommendation with a maximum of six sessions.
- Monthly utilization reports will note the number of intakes and counseling sessions provided, as well as a head count of the number of clients served. Counseling notes and client files will be maintained online

Qualifications: 3 years experience is preferred, however new graduates would be considered. Each state has specific requirements regarding licensure and/or certification, if needed.
