Position Summary:
Therapeutic Innovations Physical Therapy seeks a professional and dependable individual to serve as a Front Desk Receptionist. This role requires providing exceptional customer service both in-person and over the telephone. The Front Desk Receptionist will work in a fast-paced and dynamic outpatient physical therapy environment, offering administrative support to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform insurance verifications with health insurance carriers and communicate coverage information to patients.
- Communicate with patients' referring providers and insurance companies as needed.
- Complete general office duties, including but not limited to data entry, faxing, scanning, billing, and filing.
- Provide administrative assistance to patients and visitors, including scheduling appointments, collecting co-payments, and issuing receipts.
- Respond to patient and provider inquiries efficiently and courteously, both in-person and over the phone, ensuring calls are answered promptly.
- Serve as a liaison between patients and providers, maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor.
- Maintain a neat and orderly reception and waiting area, reporting any damage to appropriate personnel.
- Facilitate the management and confidentiality of patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Greet and address patients and visitors professionally, directing inquiries appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (preferred but not required).
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Medical Receptionist.
- Experience managing multi-line phone systems (preferred).
- Ability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team setting.
- Strong incoming call management skills.
- High degree of integrity, reliability, punctuality, initiative, and adaptability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and valid identification verification.
Compensation:
- Hourly wage is negotiable and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
