Job Summary
Immediate opening for part time Licensed Mental Health Clinician to service existing pediatric clients in school and office settings. Applicants must hold a valid Massachusetts state license and have experience working with children. Minimum two years of clinical experience preferred. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning for students using evidence based clinical techniques.
- Deliver individual and group therapy utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage urgent mental health situations effectively while ensuring the student's safety.
- Act as a liaison between home, school, and community resources to support students.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate social work, case management, and medical documentation standards compliant with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems for accurate medical records and billing processes; maintain detailed clinical documentation of client progress.
- Manage behavior management plans and utilize evidence-based techniques for working with children with complex needs or special education requirements.
Experience
- Proven experience in pediatric mental health settings such as outpatient clinics or inpatient units.
- Strong background working with children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), mental health impairment or other special needs populations.
- Experience conducting crisis management and crisis intervention within behavioral health environments.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), medical terminology, and electronic medical records management.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards related to patient privacy and medical documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including social workers, ancillary staff, medical professionals, educators, and family members.
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
