Position Summary
We are seeking passionate and dependable Intensive In-Home Counselors to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will provide direct therapeutic support to children, adolescents, and families experiencing behavioral and emotional challenges. You will use your clinical skills to strengthen family dynamics, improve coping strategies, and help clients reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual, family, and crisis counseling services in home or community settings.
- Develop and implement Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) tailored to client needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Medicaid and agency standards.
- Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments, safety plans, and progress updates.
- Collaborate with case managers, schools, and other service providers to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in weekly supervision, ongoing training, and team collaboration meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Services, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience working with children or families in a therapeutic or community-based setting (two years preferred).
- Must qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Professional – Child (QMHP-C) in Virginia.
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance required.
