Job Specifics and Responsibilities
This is a part-time or full time on-site/hybrid role as a Physical Therapist serving a school located in Kohala, HI(Big Island)
The Physical Therapist will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with pediatric patients with special needs.
Job Description
- Part time 20-24 hours/week
- Full time opening 32-36 hours/week
- November 2025-May 2026( Potential to extend for the following year)
- K-12
- Covering the schools on the North side of the island (Honokaa, Waimea, Kohala).
- Manageable caseload sizes
- Zoom interview
- Dual support from the District and TheraPeds
- This is an in-person, contract position

Qualifications
- Physical Therapy Degree is required
- State Licensure as a Physical Therapist
- National License: APTA
- Experience working with children required
- Experience in a school setting preferred
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in use of technology
- Fingerprint background clearance
- Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
