Summary
We are seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team on a Locum Tenens basis. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality patient care. Clinics are open 7 days per week-choose a flexible schedule - 12-hour shifts.
This is to fill a FULL-TIME temporary need in our Fuquay Varina center. Provider must be able to work full-time hours and available to start (fully credentialed) by January 12th and attend our orientation/onboarding that same week (no exceptions). The assignment will last approximately 3 months (we may need to extend it to the exact location or to a nearby location within 50 miles).
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking and physical exams.
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and infections in an urgent care setting.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, EKGs, and lab work.
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with clinical guidelines.
- Perform minor procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, incision and drainage).
- Educate patients on preventive care, medications, and follow-up instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient encounters accurately using the Epic EMR system.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP).
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina.
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
