Duties
- Prepare, dispense, and label medications accurately according to prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
- Manage medication intake processes and ensure proper documentation for patient records.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and supporting patient care initiatives
- Support pharmacy operations with inventory management, stock replenishment, and medication storage
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements related to medication handling and patient safety
- Assist in training or mentoring new staff or interns as needed
Qualifications
- Previous pharmacy technician experience is required
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and acute care procedures
- Strong patient service skills with a focus on patient care and safety
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Certification as a pharmacy technician is preferred; active registration or licensing may be required depending on state regulations
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Accurate and efficient typing experience strongly preferred.
