Cultivation Associate

Summary:

The Cultivation Associate supports all hands-on grow and post-harvest operations under the direction of the Head Grower / Cultivation Manager. This is an execution-focused role responsible for daily plant care, room maintenance, sanitation, and harvest support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to build deep skills across the full cultivation cycle in a regulated cannabis environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Cultivation Operations

• Perform daily plant care, including watering, feeding, pruning, trellising, and defoliation across propagation, veg, and flower room
• Mix and apply nutrient solutions per established recipes and schedules

Post-Harvest Operations

• Assist with harvest, bucking, drying room setup, curing, and trimming
• Follow drying and curing protocols and document moisture/water activity readings
• Maintain batch records and COA files as directed
• Support packaging and weighing activities as needed

Sanitation and IPM

• Execute daily and weekly sanitation protocols for rooms, tools, carts, and drains
• Assist with IPM scouting and apply labeled inputs per Head Grower instructions and re-entry intervals
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times

Environmental Monitoring:

• Conduct routine environmental checks (temperature, RH, VPD, PPFD) and log readings.
• Report any out-of-range conditions or equipment issues to the Head Grower promptly.
• Assist with basic facility upkeep: filter changes, sensor checks, and light maintenance.

Compliance and Recordkeeping:

• Support accurate METRC data entry for plants, harvests, and waste under Head Grower direction
• Follow all SOPs and maintain assigned logs (sanitation, feeding, environmental)
• Adhere to Minnesota security and access control requirements at all times

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year of hands-on experience in commercial cannabis cultivation or a related horticulture/agriculture environment
• Basic understanding of plant biology, grow cycles, and environmental factors
• Comfort with recordkeeping, SOPs, and task-tracking tools
• Must be 21 or older and able to pass background screening in Minnesota
• Physical: lift 50 lb, stand and bend for extended periods, climb ladders, work in PPE around sanitizers and fertilizers

Nice to Have:

• METRC experience or familiarity with seed-to-sale tracking software
• Experience with fertigation systems, irrigation timers, or grow room controllers
• Exposure to IPM practices and labeled pesticide application

Success Metrics:

• Daily tasks completed accurately and on time with minimal oversight
• Sanitation and IPM logs up to date and audit-ready
• Zero compliance violations related to assigned duties
• Positive contribution to on-time room flips and harvest cadence

Schedule

Some nights or weekends during flips, harvests, and IPM treatments. On-call availability for facility issues may be required
