JOB DESCRIPTION: The Workstation Analyst will serve as a key IT partner to site functional areas and Site IT Leadership, leading support activities for critical laboratory, manufacturing, and operational applications that ensure the reliable supply of medicines to patients. This role combines technical workstation engineering, infrastructure support, application lifecycle management, and stakeholder coordination to align local site requirements with global IT initiatives, patching schedules, maintenance activities, and corporate lifecycle management (LCM) objectives. The analyst will provide technical leadership, infrastructure expertise, validation support, and governance oversight for regulated GMP environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with Site Functional Areas and Site IT Leadership to support and maintain critical laboratory and operational applications.
- Coordinate with global and local IT teams to ensure timely communication regarding system patching, maintenance activities, and service outages.
- Lead technical requirements analysis and workstation infrastructure design activities.
- Collaborate with hardware and software vendors to define system requirements, operating system compatibility, hardware specifications, and associated costs.
- Install, configure, and support workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Provide qualified and compliant infrastructure platforms for laboratory and manufacturing environments.
- Train end users on workstation operations, software functionality, networking, and related technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues across multiple platforms and technologies.
- Serve as a technical consultant for infrastructure design, compatibility assessments, backup solutions, and configuration management.
- Develop strategies for current and future workstation hardware and software upgrades.
- Perform operating system, workstation, laboratory application, and automation system upgrades.
- Create and maintain technical documentation supporting validation, testing, and system lifecycle activities.
- Support validation efforts by providing technical design documentation and infrastructure specifications.
- Ensure GMP data integrity and compliance requirements are incorporated into workstation and application support activities.
- Collaborate with site organizations and enterprise IT teams to drive best practices, governance processes, and service support improvements.
- Align workstation and infrastructure support strategies with corporate Lifecycle Management (LCM) initiatives.

- Workstation infrastructure design and support
- Windows Operating Systems (Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10)
- Linux administration and support
- Citrix environments
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
- RealVNC
- IGEL technology/thin clients
- Workstation hardware deployment and support
- Software installation, configuration, and upgrades
- Networking fundamentals and troubleshooting
- Telecom systems support
- Infrastructure lifecycle management and patching
- Hardware and software compatibility analysis
- Technical documentation development
- Validation support and testing documentation
PREFERRED:
- Pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environment experience
- Laboratory systems support experience
- Manufacturing automation systems support
- Experience working within global IT organizations
- Familiarity with corporate Lifecycle Management (LCM) programs and governance processes
- GMP, GxP, or validated systems experience preferred
