We are looking for a highly motivated, dedicated, self-starter to serve as a full time Accounting and Royalties Assistant.
Responsibilities may include:
- Keeping track of income from the sales, licensing, and rental of music
- Processing invoices from various suppliers
- Organizing files for accounting and royalty documents
- Generating annual/quarterly royalty statements
- Assembling daily cash and credit card receipts
- Creating monthly customer statements
- Assisting in general administrative and accounting tasks
- Performing monthly bank reconciliations
- Reports to the royalty manager and the controller
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Relevant experience a plus, ideally in an accounting position
- Experience and ability to do bank reconciliations
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and Word
- Ability to prioritize work with strong multi-tasking, organizational and project-management skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines
- Ability to work well with managers and staff alike
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Knowledge of classical music and music publishing a plus but not required
Compensation will depend upon prior experience.
