Position Overview
The Superintendent plays a key role in overseeing daily field operations, coordinating crews, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope. This is an evolving position designed for a driven professional who’s equally comfortable wearing a hard hat, reviewing plans, and leading teams.
You’ll manage projects across DE, PA, and NJ, with flexibility to work remotely when appropriate. We offer significant growth potential, operational autonomy, and the opportunity to help define best practices as we scale our construction management operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily field activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.
- Work directly with crew foremen, subcontractors, and field staff to execute project plans.
- Serve as a working superintendent, able to step in, problem-solve, and assist on the ground when needed.
- Plan, schedule, and manage resources to meet project milestones and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, site protocols, and company policies.
- Maintain daily reports, site documentation, and progress updates.
- Conduct regular site meetings and act as the primary on-site point of contact.
- Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and engineers to optimize workflows.
- Support the transition from hands-on work to full-time leadership superintendent responsibilities as the company grows.
- Travel regionally to job sites throughout DE, PA & NJ.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in construction, field operations, or related superintendent/foreman roles.
- Strong hands-on construction background, comfortable leading by example in the field.
- Proven ability to coordinate crews, subcontractors, and schedules effectively.
- Excellent knowledge of construction means and methods, site logistics, and project sequencing.
- OSHA 30 or willingness to obtain.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Tech-savvy with ability to use project management software and digital reporting tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally.
