Senior Mechanical Engineer – Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (PE) to join our growing engineering team. This role focuses on designing mechanical systems: including HVAC, plumbing, & fire protection for a wide range of complex projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, & project management skills to deliver high-quality, code-compliant designs while mentoring junior team members.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Carrier HAP
• Skilled in system failure analysis & developing effective mitigation strategies
• Strong understanding of mechanical testing procedures & lifecycle documentation
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, & attention-to-detail skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
• Strong written & verbal communication skills for effective collaboration & client interaction

Key Responsibilities

• Develop complete mechanical design packages in alignment with project scope, schedule, & budget
• Design, coordinate, & review HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems throughout all project phases
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, & other stakeholders to ensure design intent, constructability, and regulatory compliance
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, construction documents, and technical specifications
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining schedules, deliverables, and budget expectations
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for design, field, or performance issues
• Perform quality control (QC) reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers
• Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements for efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, and testing activities
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation in accordance with standards and internal QA/QC procedures
