Process Engineering Manager
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in designing, optimizing, & managing complex industrial processes. This leadership role blends technical expertise, project management, & team development to ensure exceptional project delivery, operational efficiency, & continued departmental growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, plus 5 years of relevant experience
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Extensive background in process engineering, including design & optimization
- Demonstrated experience in staff leadership & management
- Strong project management skills; PMP certification preferred
Key ResponsibilitiesStaff Management
- Oversee workload coordination, prioritization, & scheduling for the department
- Conduct quarterly goal-setting meetings & annual performance reviews
- Manage employee performance & progressive discipline processes
- Coordinate training programs & professional development opportunities
- Support hiring efforts by participating in candidate recruitment & interviews
Business Development
- Partner with clients to identify & develop new business opportunities
- Prepare technical proposals & RFQs with project managers & client managers
- Attend industry conferences, client events,& professional association meetings to strengthen relationships & expand the company’s presence
Budgetary Oversight
- Approve timesheets, expense reports, & PTO requests
- Assist project managers with invoicing, accounts receivable, & budget management
- Oversee change orders, scope control, purchase orders, & sub-consultant coordination
- Monitor & manage department overhead expenses
Technical & Project Leadership
- Serve as a technical resource for internal teams to resolve engineering questions
- Lead project management activities & contribute to process engineering design as needed
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements & uphold departmental standards
