Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Data Scientist – Content, based in Palo Alto, CA. The Data Scientist will lead efforts in extracting, analyzing, and interpreting large data sets to generate actionable insights. Day-to-day tasks include conducting statistical analysis, developing detailed data visualizations, applying data science techniques to improve content recommendations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize the platforms. The candidate will also support the team by identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities to enhance the user experience through data-driven strategies.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Data Science, including machine learning, predictive modeling, and algorithm development
Strong foundation in Statistics and applied statistical methodologies
Expertise in Data Analytics and Data Analysis, focusing on identifying trends and solving problems
Experience with Data Visualization tools and techniques to present complex data in a user-friendly way
Strong programming skills and familiarity with tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex datasets
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work in cross-functional teams
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields
Experience in e-commerce or price comparison platforms is a plus
