DCG strategically researches, plans, executes, and evaluates large-scale, multi-platform outreach initiatives across a wide range of mission-driven issues including human trafficking awareness, mental health stigma reduction, suicide prevention, ending homelessness, Veteran health, transportation safety, small business resources, and public diplomacy, to name a few. Additionally, our research and digital teams employ mixed methods research, Human-Centered Design (HCD), and change management principles to integrate new technologies built around well-researched user journeys.

Position Overview

DCG is seeking digital strategists to support a large-scale Defense program that supports community quality-of-life programs for active military service members, their families, and survivors worldwide. This program encompasses broad digital services and engagement initiatives, requiring experienced professionals across data analytics and UI/UX design. Collaborating with other functions, this team will develop, maintain, and provide technical editing and quality control for all public-facing and application content, multimedia, illustrations, and graphics.

Note: This position is currently contingent on contract award

Location

Remote; the selected candidate will work during DCG’s core Eastern Standard Time business hours. Candidates located within the National Capital Region will be given preference given the possibility for ad-hoc, in-person support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep UX research and user testing to understand target audience needs, behaviors, and pain points
• Incorporate empathy-driven insights to create digital experiences that connect with users on a personal level and tell compelling stories
• Provide Search Engine Optimization (SEO) services to ensure that customer websites and applications achieve optimal performance
• Focus on strategic planning, strategy development, keyword research, performance metric analysis, and effective collaboration, ensuring SEO alignment with customer objectives.
• Provide data-driven insights into areas such as search engine visibility, user behavior, conversion rates, and technical SEO health
• Provide user-centric analysis and reporting of user experience, user engagement, and website performance to determine the needs and preferences of the target audience
• Offer targeted insights and recommendations for enhanced user engagement and reflect changes in digital landscapes to guide strategic recommendations for enhancing website performance and user engagement

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• 3 years of relevant experience supporting digital campaigns for large organizations
• Experience with elements of human-centered design, analysis of user feedback and behavioral data, and/or creative brand/strategy

Preferred Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Relevant training and/or certifications in web analytics or UI/UX best practices
• Professional background or personal connection to the military or Veteran community
