The RN Clinical Nurse plays a key role in delivering patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum through an interprofessional approach to treatment, research, education, and advocacy. 🔑 Key Accountabilities
- Utilize the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and competencies to assess patient needs and develop collaborative care plans.
- Partner with the interprofessional team to ensure the highest quality care and clinical outcomes.
- Demonstrate clinical expertise within the assigned specialty, delivering care that is age-appropriate, developmentally sensitive, and culturally specific.
- Identify opportunities to enhance patient experience, streamline care, and reduce costs—improving satisfaction for patients, families, and team members.
- Support a professional environment of mentoring, engagement, and development to retain expert clinicians.
- Collaborate with physicians and team members to problem-solve and improve patient care.
- Anticipate and manage risk proactively; perform skillfully in life-threatening emergencies.
🎓 Qualifications
- ADN required
- BSN preferred
- Current Wisconsin RN Licensure
- AHA Healthcare Provider BLS
đź’Ş Physical Demands
- Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling)
- Lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens
- Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination
🏥 Work Environment
- Frequent exposure to sharp objects/instruments
- Occasional exposure to mechanical parts, airborne particles, chemicals, or electrical risk
- Extended standing/walking
- Transporting and positioning patients/equipment
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, or aggressive patients
