Is able to perform the job duties of a journey level Project Manager.
Additional Job Duties Include
- Applies and adapts project management techniques;
- Project may not be well defined or require creativity or new approaches;
- Obtain commitment on detailed work plans , including schedule, cost, resources, contingency, and communication plans;
- Obtain management approval as needed; ensure project documentation is maintained;
- Identify, analyze, and address project performance issues;
- Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables;
- Communicate project status to all stakeholders;
- Assess project risk and develop contingency plans; and
- Identify and communicate lessons learned and best practices.
- Determines that project objectives are achievable.
- Negotiates third-party contracts, in support of other departments when appropriate.
- Budget tracking and reporting
- Project reporting (PlanisWare)
- Budget reporting and compliance(EPIC PMO, etc.)
- Timelines, critical path
- Meeting management (daily operating review, weekly operating review, monthly operating review)
- 1-3-10/Tactical implementation plan/Workstream mgmt.
- Superior ability to interface with and across supporting organizations
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or its equivalent in education and experience.
- Plus 8 years’ experience in project management, project controls, engineering and/or construction.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and maintenance desired for new entrants.
- Specific experience with electric-utilities desired. Electric industry experiences desired.
