Key Duties
- Manage all aspects of HVAC estimating and bidding for commercial construction projects.
- Review project plans and documentation to determine scope, costs, and timelines, coordinating with both internal and external partners.
- Recommend cost-effective solutions, equipment options, and value-engineering strategies during pre-construction.
- Conduct detailed reviews to confirm constructability and system integration.
- Partner with business development by preparing persuasive proposals and supporting interviews or presentations.
- Keep cost databases and historical pricing models updated to improve forecasting and accuracy.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in HVAC estimating, particularly on Design-Build and Design-Assist projects.
- Deep understanding of HVAC systems, codes, and industry practices.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications with precision.
- Skilled in estimating tools and software such as Trimble, On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, and MS Excel.
- Strong communication, organizational, and presentation abilities.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple projects with close attention to detail.
- Preference for candidates familiar with the San Francisco commercial construction market.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in construction estimating.
Salary : $150,000 - $230,000
