Senior Geotechnical Engineer - (San Jose, CA)
Here Is The Job Description
Managing projects from start to finish, including development of the scope of work and proposal preparation, laboratory testing program formulation, geotechnical analysis, and report preparation.
Geotechnical analysis, including relevant aspects of shoring design, earth retention, slope stability, shallow and deep foundations, dewatering, dam design, dealing with compressible soils, and knowledge of rock mechanics (a plus);
familiarity with state-of-the-art finite element methods and seismic site response analysis (strong preference for retaining a candidate that is capable of performing the last two tasks)
Business development and marketing
Managing and mentoring junior engineers
Invoice review and billing (not in terms of accounting; more so in terms of conformance with the approved proposal)
Requirements: -10 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering - Licensed GE or willing to get a license within 6 months - On site work
