General Laborer – Aerospace Manufacturing (Temp-to-Hire)

Job Overview

We are hiring a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to support daily operations at an aerospace manufacturing facility in Meriden, CT. This is a great entry-level opportunity with hands-on training provided no aerospace experience needed. Strong performers are regularly considered for full-time direct hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general shop cleanup: sweeping, debris removal, and organizing work areas
• Deburr machined parts using hand tools and approved methods
• Assist with material handling, inventory organization, and warehouse support
• Support basic assembly operations under supervision
• Help with painting, coating, and surface preparation as needed
• Assist machine operators, technicians, and production staff
• Dispose of scrap materials and maintain waste collection areas
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company quality policies
• Perform miscellaneous general labor duties across production and warehouse departments
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing shop environment with PPE
  
  

Preferred (not Required)

• Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial settings
• Basic familiarity with hand tools
• Forklift or material handling certification
  
  

Physical requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
• Stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for full shift duration
• Work in a manufacturing shop with exposure to machining areas and warehouse spaces
• Required to wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
