We are hiring a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to support daily operations at an aerospace manufacturing facility in Meriden, CT. Responsibilities
- Perform general shop cleanup: sweeping, debris removal, and organizing work areas
- Deburr machined parts using hand tools and approved methods
- Assist with material handling, inventory organization, and warehouse support
- Support basic assembly operations under supervision
- Help with painting, coating, and surface preparation as needed
- Assist machine operators, technicians, and production staff
- Dispose of scrap materials and maintain waste collection areas
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company quality policies
- Perform miscellaneous general labor duties across production and warehouse departments
Required:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing shop environment with PPE
- Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial settings
- Basic familiarity with hand tools
- Forklift or material handling certification
- Lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for full shift duration
- Work in a manufacturing shop with exposure to machining areas and warehouse spaces
- Required to wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Competitive hourly pay: $17–$19/hour based on experience
- Hands-on training no aerospace background required
