Job Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Gardener with specialized Orchid experience to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining our tropical gardens, ensuring the health and beauty of native plants and orchids, and supporting landscape maintenance efforts. Your expertise will help create a thriving environment that enhances our visitors’ experience while promoting sustainable gardening practices.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and care for tropical gardens, focusing on native plants and orchids through regular watering, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control
- Use hand tools, power tools, and grounds maintenance equipment to perform landscape upkeep efficiently
- Identify various plant species, including orchids and native flora, to ensure proper care and health
- Manage irrigation systems to optimize water usage and plant growth
- Apply pesticide management techniques responsibly to control pests without harming the environment or plants
- Operate climbing equipment safely when accessing elevated garden areas or trees
- Communicate effectively with team members and visitors about plant care practices and garden features
Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- A valid driver’s license
