Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, basic repairs, and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration equipment used in frozen treat manufacturing. The role involves troubleshooting equipment issues, assisting with setups and changeovers, and promptly responding to maintenance requests to minimize downtime. Qualifications
- Foundational mechanical aptitude, including ability to work with basic hand and power tools, perform minor mechanical repairs, and follow equipment manuals.
- Basic electrical knowledge, such as understanding of circuits, sensors, and safety procedures when working around powered equipment (training provided as needed).
- Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and simple troubleshooting on production or industrial equipment.
- Strong attention to safety, including adherence to lockout/tagout procedures, PPE requirements, and food manufacturing safety and hygiene standards.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with maintenance, production, and supervisory staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required for extended periods in a cold-production environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in manufacturing, food production, or maintenance support is preferred but not required.
