Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and inspiring Barre Instructor to lead dynamic, full-body workout classes that blend ballet-inspired movements with strength training, flexibility, and core stability. Duties
- Lead engaging Barre classes that incorporate elements of dance, Pilates, yoga, and functional movement to enhance strength, flexibility, and posture
- Design innovative class programs that cater to diverse fitness levels while emphasizing correct body mechanics and physiology principles
- Demonstrate proper form and technique for exercises involving body weight, resistance bands, small weights, and props to ensure safety and effectiveness
- Incorporate knowledge of anatomy and sports coaching techniques to modify exercises for individual needs or limitations
- Foster a motivating atmosphere that encourages group participation, camaraderie, and consistent progress
- Promote the benefits of fitness activities such as cycling, CrossFit-inspired movements, or Pilates to diversify class offerings and appeal to a broad audience
- Support gym sales efforts by engaging with members about personal training options or specialized programs aligned with their fitness goals
Qualifications
- Proven experience in group fitness instruction with a focus on body conditioning classes such as Pilates or Yoga
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and how body mechanics influence movement and injury prevention
- Certified in relevant disciplines such as Group Fitness Instruction, Pilates Certification, Yoga Teacher Training or similar credentials
- Knowledge of program design principles to create balanced classes that challenge participants safely while maintaining high energy levels
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups and provide clear instruction
