What are the responsibilities and job description for the Liquid Transport position at The Zemba Companies?
Job Summary: The Liquid Transport is responsible for operating a Company truck and tanker trailer to transport liquids from various customer locations to various disposal locations.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspection and report deficiencies to shop immediately.
- Report improper operation, faulty equipment and unusual conditions to the Division Manager.
- Operate truck and tanker to and from pre-designated work sites based on daily routing information.
- Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatch to receive additional instructions and changes to work locations etc.
- Maintains truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.
Competencies or Experience Requirements
- Class A - CDL License
- DOT Physical Card
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Education Requirements
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Safety
Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.
Travel
Travel to job sites is required as needed.
