What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kids Guitar Teacher (Thursday evenings) position at The Young Innovators Collective?
The Young Innovators Collective is looking for an enthusiastic guitar instructor to teach a fun, beginner-focused group guitar class for elementary-aged students. The group of students will be working together to create a band, learn a few songs, and shoot a music video.
This is a great opportunity for a musician who enjoys working with children and wants to be part of a creative, collaborative studio.
Schedule
Thursdays: 4:15 PM – 5:15 PM
There is also an opportunity to teach our film production class immediately afterward for candidates with filmmaking experience.
Pay
$35/hour
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging beginner guitar lessons for children.
- Create a positive, encouraging classroom environment.
- Help students build confidence while developing foundational guitar skills.
- Communicate professionally with studio staff.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proficient guitar player with strong technical skills.
- Reliable, professional, and organized.
- Enjoys working with children.
Highly Preferred
- Experience teaching guitar lessons to children or beginners.
Bonus Qualifications
- Ability to teach or accompany on keyboard.
- Experience playing drums.
- Background in filmmaking, video production, or digital media (opportunity to teach an additional film class).
