What are the responsibilities and job description for the News Editor position at The Yonkers Ledger?
We are a growing nonprofit newsroom in Yonkers, a largely volunteer organization now. We are looking for a news editor who will be responsible for monitoring news flow, assigning stories and writing news briefs. We are in an expansion phase, and as the organization grows this has the potential to evolve into a paid position. This is a start up. Our city is largely a news desert, and there is a lot of potential to build this into something solid and lasting.
