What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marine Mechanic position at THE YACHT WORKS?
Duties:
- Perform Mechanical Repairs using hand and power tools.
- Document Maintenance and Repairs via e-mail at the end of the day.
- Pick up parts and/or components at different locations using company transportation
- Drop off parts and/or components at different locations using company transportation
- Provide training to New mechanical Maintenance Technicians and/ or assistants.
- Troubleshooting faulty machinery and diagnosing the root cause of the malfunction using diagnostic tools and problem solving abilities.
- Collaborating with other mechanical maintenance technicians to solve complex mechanical issues and repairs.
- Keeping an organized daily log of all projects worked and repairs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED/HISET
- Computer skills to send emails, upload pictures, and general communications.
- Minimum 5 Years of hands on Marine Mechanical experience
- Knowledge and experience with hand and power tools and their proper use.
- Knowledge and experience with measuring tool and GD&T
- Interpersonal skills to interact with employees and/or clients in the field.
- Attention to detail to ensure that all and each job or task is completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.
- Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working either in the shop or in the field.
- No motion sickness
- Must have valid US Passport
- Must have valid Driver's license
- Must know how to drive a forklift
- Knowledge of emailing
