Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Workforce Development, the Workforce Development Associate supports the day-to-day operations and implementation of Workforce Development programs designed to create meaningful learning, career development, and employment opportunities throughout the Y in Central Maryland. The Associate will coordinate and monitor participant workflows from placement and onboarding through active participation, completion, and transition, while supporting interns, apprentices, site managers, and internal and external stakeholders. The Associate will maintain accurate participant records, coordinate required onboarding and program activities, support Workforce Development events and initiatives, and assist with data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts that strengthen the capacity and scale of Workforce Development programs across the Y.

Essential Functions

• Coordinate the day-to-day operations of Workforce Development programs, including internships, apprenticeships, and other Workforce Development initiatives.
• Manage candidate workflows from placement through onboarding, active participation, completion, and transition, throughout the entire associate lifecycle.
• Coordinate participant start dates, schedules, placements, extensions, transfers, and completion activities.
• Serve as an operational point of contact for participants, site managers, and internal and external stakeholders, providing timely communication and follow-up throughout the entire associate lifecycle.
• Coordinate required onboarding activities in accordance to Y in Central Maryland policies.
• Maintain accurate Workforce Development databases, dashboards, and reporting systems to support program tracking, accountability, and decision-making.
• Support Workforce development events and engagement activities, including orientations, information sessions, hiring events, career fairs, and recognition activities.

Additionally, associates and volunteers must complete training on child abuse prevention and comply with legal reporting requirements to safeguard youth.
