OVERVIEW
The Wyman Hotel is a bold, design-forward boutique property in the heart of Silverton. With 16 thoughtfully crafted rooms and an urban-level cocktail and espresso bar, we're known for delivering standout hospitality in a remote mountain setting.
We are seeking a Temporary Hotel Manager to support daily operations and maintain our high service standards during a transitional period. This short-term leadership role is perfect for an experienced hospitality professional who thrives in hands-on environments, can quickly build rapport with staff and guests, and is energized by the pace of boutique hotel operations.
This is an on-site, immersive role with housing included. The assignment is 6 weeks with the possibility of extension based on operational needs.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Guest Experience & Service Quality
- Ensure guests receive warm, thoughtful, and proactive service throughout their stay.
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, aiming for smooth resolutions and positive outcomes.
- Maintain The Wyman's high standards for cleanliness, presentation, and overall guest experience.
Team Support & Daily Leadership
- Lead and support the front-of-house and bar teams during day-to-day operations.
- Provide clear communication, direction, and accountability to ensure consistent excellence.
- Help maintain a positive, solutions-oriented workplace culture.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee daily hotel operations, including guest communications, check-ins/outs, and room readiness.
- Coordinate closely with housekeeping to ensure seamless turnovers and quality control.
- Support bar and café operations, including inventory oversight and service consistency.
Bar & Beverage Program Support
- Ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Maintain menu quality, cleanliness, and adherence to standards.
- Partner with staff to support guest engagement and efficient workflows.
Quality Assurance & Safety
- Conduct routine walk-throughs to ensure rooms, public spaces, and F&B areas meet standards.
- Monitor guest feedback and help implement quick, effective fixes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, and operational protocols.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3 years of hotel or hospitality management experience (boutique experience a strong plus).
- Strong communication and leadership skills: Calm under pressure and solutions-focused.
- Experience managing bar, café, or beverage operations is highly preferred.
- A hands-on mentality and an ability to jump into any role as needed.
- Professionalism, warmth, and a genuine care for guest experience.
- Familiarity with mountain towns or remote hospitality environments is helpful, not required.
