The General Manager serves as the strategic and operational leader of the Element Valley Forge, responsible for driving financial performance, delivering exceptional guest experiences, fostering a high-performing team culture, and ensuring compliance with Marriott brand standards and company policies. This role provides overall leadership for all hotel operations, including Rooms, Housekeeping, Sales, Revenue Management, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Human Resources, and Accounting functions.

- Lead, coach, and develop department leaders and associates to create a positive, servicefocused culture.
- Foster an environment of accountability, teamwork, recognition, and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, retain, and develop top talent while supporting succession planning initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, Marriott brand standards, and applicable employment laws.
- Develop and execute annual operating and capital budgets.
- Drive revenue growth and maximize profitability through effective business planning and expense management.
- Analyze financial statements, forecasts, labor reports, and operating metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor labor costs and productivity while maintaining service standards.
- Ensure proper controls are in place to safeguard company assets.
- Oversee all hotel operations to ensure exceptional guest service and operational efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with Marriott brand standards, quality assurance programs, and guest satisfaction initiatives.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and service excellence.
- Ensure all departments operate effectively and collaborate to deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Partner with Sales and Revenue Management teams to maximize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR performance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, local businesses, community organizations, and tourism partners.
- Participate in sales efforts, networking events, and market activities to increase hotel visibility and revenue opportunities.
- Champion a guestcentric culture focused on exceeding expectations.
- Respond to guest concerns and service recovery situations promptly and professionally.
- Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, and satisfaction metrics, implementing action plans as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including health, safety, labor, and licensing requirements.
- Maintain emergency preparedness procedures and lead crisis management efforts when necessary.
- Promote a safe and secure environment for guests, associates, and visitors.
- Proven leadership experience, preferably at the GM level, in hotel operations with demonstrated success in driving financial performance and guest satisfaction.
- Strong knowledge of Marriott brand standards and hotel operating procedures preferred.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasting, labor management, and profitandloss statements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to make sound operational and financial decisions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive hotel management experience required.
- Previous General Manager experience preferred.
- Marriottbranded hotel experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to move throughout the hotel and access all operational areas.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations and support hotel operations as needed.
