POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Specialist assists with and facilitates the Human Resource process for the enterprise. This role assists with the recruitment and onboarding of new hires. This role assists in facilitating HR initiatives through the organization. This role provides administrative support including record keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. 


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

While living and demonstrating our Core Values, the HR Specialist will:

  • Coordinate and manage the recruiting efforts for the enterprise, including resume screening, scheduling of interviews, and generation of offer letters
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding. Coordinate date and time of orientation, reserve conference room and make sure all new hires are notified of time, place and items needed for orientation
  • Assist employees and new hires through the HRIS system and onboarding process
  • Assist with special department projects i.e. open enrollment etc.
  • Assists with update/maintenance of Paylocity
  • Ensure current, signed job descriptions are on file for all employees; work with management team to draft new job descriptions for new positions 
  • Maintain a visible Human Resources presence throughout company; assist employees with concerns and questions
  • Responsible for data entry into HRIS systems for employee transactions. Ensure accuracy and compliance. Work with Payroll to ensure FTE allocations are accurate and individual records are maintained 
  • Run reports as necessary for department
  • Ensure terminations are processed utilizing the termination check-list
  • Coordinate exit interview process and produce quarterly reports
  • Coordinate Human Resource updates and news to Communication Department for bi-weekly newsletter
  • Maintain continuous communication with Clinical leaders regarding recruitment and onboarding efforts
  • Attend weekly department huddles and meetings to provide Human Resources presence as needed
  • Participate in recruitment events such as job fairs, virtual events, career days, etc
  • Conduct routine HR file audits for compliance
  • Provide Credentialing Department with documentation and verifications tasks for compliance purposes
  • Develop and routinely report on recruitment metrics to identify trends and areas of improvement
  • Assist Talent Acquisition Manager and VP of HR with provider recruitment and onboarding
  • Actively seek to improve HR processes and procedures
  • Foster positive and productive relationships with all managers and staff
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement using SAFE Reporting and PDSAs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Meet The Wright Center for Community Health and its affiliated entity The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education EOS© People Analyzer Tool
  • Buy in and experience working in the EOS® model (strongly preferred)
  • Mission-oriented; represents the enterprise in a professional manner while demonstrating organizational pride
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Administration or related field required
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of Human Resources experience or a combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge all various employment laws are desirable.
  • HRCI or SHRM certification a plus.
  • Previous experience should include a minimum of one year working in a customer service-oriented environment.
  • Work requires excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule. 
  • High level of confidentiality required.
  • Ability to work reliably, with professionalism in a high-volume, high-demand medical educational environment.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and E-mail.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
