Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Care Worker to join our team. This role involves providing essential personal care and support to clients in their homes or community settings. A valid first aid certification and a 1st step TB test are required for a virtual interview. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs, behavior, and overall condition
- Support medication management and administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs
- Maintain a clean, safe environment through light cleaning tasks and organization
- Document patient observations, care provided, and any changes in condition accurately
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s
as needed for safe transfers
Qualifications
- Prior experience in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient observation, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, HIPAA compliance, and basic nursing skills preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for patient support
- Strong communication skills for working with clients, families, and team members
- Experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and creating or following care plans is a plus
- Compassionate attitude with a dedication to providing respectful and person-centered care

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
