Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Conduct routine custodial tasks such as dusting, trash removal, window washing, and surface sanitizing to uphold high hygiene standards.
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and restock supplies as needed to ensure operational readiness.
- Support facility upkeep by performing industrial cleaning tasks or specialized services like carpet cleaning or floor buffing when required.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care procedures, and use of cleaning equipment such as buffers and vacuums.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills to complete daily tasks efficiently.
This position is for one day a week; either Thursday or Friday from 9-5. It is 8 hours a week to clean the church facilities weekly.
