Role Description The Outreach Coordinator is a full-time, remote role. This position is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with schools, nonprofits, youth organizations, and community partners to expand the reach of The World Is Your Bowl of Noodles. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing outreach campaigns, coordinating events and workshops, responding to inquiries from partners and participants, and supporting youth engagement initiatives. The Outreach Coordinator will gather feedback and conduct basic research to improve programs, maintain accurate records of outreach activities, and collaborate with the media and program teams to align messaging. This role also involves developing training materials, assisting with presentations, and representing the organization at community events and meetings.
Qualifications
Note: No prior outreach experience is required. We welcome passionate high school and college students who are eager to learn, communicate professionally, and make an impact. Experience in leadership, student organizations, volunteering, nonprofit work, or community engagement is a plus, but not required.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear writing, public speaking, and the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Experience in Community Outreach and relationship-building with schools, nonprofits, and youth organizations.
- Customer Service skills to respond to inquiries, support participants, and manage partner interactions professionally.
- Research abilities to gather community feedback, identify outreach opportunities, and track engagement data.
- Training skills to help develop and deliver workshops, presentations, and youth-focused educational sessions.
- Passion for youth empowerment, education, and community service.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with email, office software, and online collaboration tools; familiarity with social media is a plus.
- Prior experience in outreach, community engagement, or program coordination is highly beneficial.
