The Workroom LA is a Los Angeles–based apparel company operating across private label manufacturing and owned brands. Our team works closely with retailers, brands, and partners to develop and deliver high-quality apparel from concept through production. We are a fast-moving organization where attention to detail, accountability, and teamwork are essential.
The Production Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of apparel production. This position helps ensure that styles move efficiently through development and manufacturing while maintaining quality standards and meeting delivery timelines.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple moving pieces across vendors, internal teams, and logistics partners.
Production Coordination
- Track production timelines across all stages including development, sampling, and bulk production
- Maintain and update production calendars and time & action (T&A) schedules
- Monitor factory progress and follow up with vendors to ensure deadlines are met
- Assist with purchase order tracking and production status updates
Vendor & Factory Communication
- Communicate with overseas and domestic factories regarding production updates, timelines, and requirements
- Track sample submissions, approvals, and revisions
- Ensure factories have accurate tech packs, specs, and production documentation
Sample & Development Management
- Coordinate sample requests and track development samples from factory to office
- Organize and maintain sample inventory for internal review and showroom needs
- Work with design and production teams to ensure feedback and fit comments are communicated to vendors
Quality & Documentation
- Maintain organized production records including tech packs, approvals, and factory documentation
- Assist with quality control coordination and factory compliance when required
- Ensure accuracy of style information, colors, and production details
Cross-Team Coordination
- Work closely with design, sales, logistics, and operations teams to keep projects moving smoothly
- Assist in preparing production reports and updates for management
- Support coordination between production schedules and shipping timelines
- 1–3 years experience in apparel production, sourcing, or product development
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- Experience with ERP systems or production management tools is a plus (AIMS, PLM, Airtable, etc.)
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
