Our Client is seeking a Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater to join their growing team in Syracuse, NY!

Responsibilities
- Independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments.
- Prepare advanced engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.
- Utilize advanced techniques, theories and practices to complete assignments.
- Design and review complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
- Develop and apply new and/or improved techniques, processes, etc., for designing engineering plans.
- Analyze and interpret data, formulate and solve problems.
- Prepare or review scopes of work and budgets, and schedule assignments.
- Prepare proposals to provide professional services.
- Provide direction to engineers, technicians and administrative staff.
- Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work.
- Represent the organization in a variety of ways as an expert on engineering assignments.
- Work within AutoCAD Civil 3D and alongside the design team managers to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines.
- Perform field investigations/ site visits as needed.
- Prepare comprehensive draft proposals and change orders for review.
- Prepare conceptual layouts in consultation with PM or client.
- Review hydraulic calculations.
- Review utility layouts.
- Conduct team and select client meetings.
- Provide technical guidance to Engineers and Senior Engineers.
- Prepare and review pump station designs.
- Review and respond-to contractor shop drawing submittals, RFIs, and change order requests, with assistance from PM.
- Process contractor requests for payment, with assistance from PM.
